Welcome to Magnolia Hills Farm, a serene farm nestled in the town of Montpelier in Hanover County, Virginia. We cultivate a wide variety of beautiful blooms, heirloom tomatoes, unique herbs and other healthy veggies. We also offer unique experiences for flower enthusiasts and those seeking natural beauty.

Our services

Magnolia Hills Farm has something for everyone!

Drop by our Farm Stand from dawn to dusk to pick up fresh produce and ready made fresh flower arrangements. We accept Venmo, Zelle and cash using the honor system.

We offer seasonal produce often changing weekly as new crops come in. Heirloom tomatoes, eggplants, sweet success cucumbers and several squash and zucchini varieties are Farmstand staples.

Our flowers are priced to fit all budgets, ranging from a $5 mini arrangement to a large $25 bouquet.

 

U-pick flower experience

Immerse yourself in our fields and hand-pick your own bouquet. A delightful experience for individuals, couples, and families. Text 804-852-3365 to RSVP for a session. We recommend picking either early morning or later in the day when the temperature has gone down. 

When you arrive at the farm, park to the left and walk to the farm stand on the right. There you will find clippers and buckets with water. Take a bucket with water and stroll through the fields clipping whatever catches your eye. Cut the stems as deep into the plant as possible and on a 45 degree angle. This helps the plant continue to produce longer stems. 

When you have gathered your blooms, return to the stand to arrange the flowers in a white 32oz take home cup. Feel free to strip lower leaves and leave in the compost bin. When you arrive home, transfer your blooms to a vase of your choice with fresh water. Add a tsp of flower food. If you do not have flower food, a tsp of sugar and tsp of vinegar are a great substitute. 

Changing the water every few days will help your bouquet last longer.

We also grow a wide selection of seasonal vegetables- squash, zucchini, 3 varieties of cucumber and. Plethora of tomatoes. In the fall we will have kale pumpkins and gourds.

How does U PICK work?

RSVP BY TEXTING Cynthia at 804-852-3365. Let me know your preferred date & time, and how many guests you are bringing.

Apon arrival park to the left and walk to the Farm Stand. You will find clippers and black floral buckets at the stand. 

Fill the bucket 1/4 of the way with water and take it up to the field to keep your flowers hydrated as you cut. Stroll through the field and clip the blooms that catch your eye. 

Once you've collected your blooms, you will strip the stems and arrange in a 32oz container to take home.

How do I pay for flowers or produce?

We accept Venmo, Zelle and cash. There is a sign in the farm house with a QR code and a cash box on the wall. 

Is a restroom available?

Currently there is not a public restroom available as we live on the property. There is an outhouse by the horse stable for emergencies. 

Are your dogs friendly?

Yes! Very friendly but loud barkers! We have two labs. BluBelle is our 6 year old silver lab, and Maggie is our 1 year old champagne lab. If I'm outside then they will probably start barking if you pull into the driveway. Just ignore them- they are friendly - just loud barkers. 

Are all products grown on the farm?

Yes, all vegetables and flowers are grown here on the farm. All products found in the Farm stand are engraved here on the farm as well. BluBelle Designs is located in the guest house on property. 

What is BluBelle Designs?

BluBelle Designs is my laser engraving business also located on the farm. My studio is in the guest house and this is where I create custom charcuterie boards, coasters and other gifts.
